Documentary analysis of the PIBIC, Monitoring and Internships programs not mandatory in the Degree in Geography at UFRGS

Context: The initial training of teachers has become a relevant theme in the academic field, due to studies that comprehend Education and changes in teacher training. Scientific Initiation is an important program that is significantly occupying the curricular and extracurricular spaces of basic and higher education. In addition to contributing to the development of research and critical thinking, it is a relevant learning strategy for children, youth, and adults. Methodology: The Tutoring Program enhances the knowledge of tutors and promotes collaborative learning among students. The Non-Mandatory Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the job market, applying what they have learned in college. As a data collection instrument, documentary analysis was used, that is, different documents were found regarding the Scientific Initiation Programs, the Academic Tutoring Program, and the Non-Mandatory Internship Program for basic and higher education, totaling 59 research materials. Considerations: The inclusion of these Programs in basic and higher education promotes citizen formation and values the teaching career, contributing to the field of research in Education.
