Considerations about the challenges and results achieved with the pedagogical residence program in the initial training of Geography teachers at CEF 01 in Brasília

Context: The Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) provides undergraduate students with a greater immersion in the school environment, establishing a connection between the University and Basic Education. This work aims to analyze the experiences of the Geography sub-nucleus, located at the Centro de Ensino Fundamental 01 in Brasília, during the first semester of 2023. The collected data consists of articles related to PRP and reports from the scholarship holders. The text addresses the integration challenges resulting from various events, as well as the advances achieved in the school field. Additionally, it demonstrates the enthusiasm and hope regarding the results that can be obtained in the next stages of the program. Methodology: The present study uses articles on PRP and reports from the scholarship holders as the database. Pertinent activities were developed within the Pedagogical Residency Program at the Centro de Ensino Fundamental 01 in Brasília during the first semester of 2023. Considerations: The work presents the challenges faced in the integration of theory and practice, as well as the advances achieved in the school field. The enthusiasm and hope regarding the future results that can be achieved throughout the next stages of the program are highlighted.
