Differentiated methodologies in the training of Geography students

Context: The present text is the result of an ongoing scientific research project entitled: "Differentiated Methodologies in the Education of Geography Students: Contributions from the Supervised Internship I at the State University of Western Paraná (2017-2018)". Its aim is to demonstrate the importance of differentiated methodologies in the teaching of Geography, highlighting their relevance in the learning process and in the presentation of the topics proposed in the textbooks. The research timeframe covers the years 2017 and 2018. Methodology: The research was based on bibliographical surveys conducted to highlight the significance and necessity of differentiated methodologies used by teachers in the teaching of Geography. These methodologies are resources used to combat the traditionalism of classes and make them more dynamic and appealing to students. Considerations: Differentiated methodologies can assist students in understanding the various topics addressed in the Geography discipline. The ongoing research aims to contribute to the education of Geography undergraduate students by providing resources for the adoption of more innovative and effective teaching-learning methodologies.
