Context: This work is part of an ongoing Scientific Initiation, which aims to analyze the spatial diffusion and risk of COVID-19 in areas of greatest vulnerability in Presidente Prudente and Botucatu – SP through comparative analyses. Method: After three months of research, it is possible to obtain preliminary results that do not affect the spatiality of COVID-19 without a studied cut, therefore, this work has five cartographic products that, through the Kernel density estimator, will discuss the spatiality of COVID -19 in two different cuts – the year of 2020 and 2021. Results: We search for current literature or theoretical and methodological framework to carry out this research, as well as some hypotheses and observations of the future of the research that will be delineated during the year of 2021.
