Abstract

Context: This article aims to understand how the body's senses can improve according to the conditions imposed on each subject. In this specific case, we are interested in understanding how people with visual impairments can explore the potential of each sense - touch, smell, taste, hearing for the construction of a spatial memory and perception of place. Method: To carry out the research we used a qualitative approach, in addition to the construction of geospatial figures to emphasize the data. Results: In addition to the body's senses assisting in the process of building a spatial memory, the places of belonging also build this perception, because the more affection we feel from the different environments, the greater the tendency to return to that place.
